Sri Venkateswara National Park and Sanctuary - Tirupati

Adorned with greenery of natural vegetation, the gorge, steep slopes, beautiful valleys and plateaus, this park makes an adventurous place to visit. The natural waterfalls like Talakona, Gundalakona and Gunjana adds to the beauty of this National Park.





Some of the most found trees are Sandalwood, Red sanders, Shorea, Thunbergiana, Shorea talura, Cycas beddomei and many other rare species.
It does not leave behind the animal species as well, for, you can find famous and endangered species of them. The rare slender Lorises and golden Gecko, the Indian Giant Squirrel, flying lizards, Tree Shrew, Nilgai, Wild boar, leopards and hyena are some of them spotted very often.



Established in the year 1989, Sri Venkateshwara National Park extends over two districts, Chittoor and Cuddapah. It is located at a distance of 10kms from Tirupati and covers an area of 506 sq. kilometres. Famous for its wildlife, flora and fauna, this National Park is surrounded by Seshachalam and Tirumala Hills.

Accommodation: When it comes to accommodation, you can stay at Forest Rest House at Rajampet and the one at Tirupati. In addition, the Forest Rest House at Talakona and Bakrapet is the good option to stay around. You can also stay in the luxury hotels at Tirupati and make a day trip to this National Park.
